RECOGNISING THE BAD A$$ WOMEN OF S30

Queue the Destiny’s Child playlist, ‘cos International Women’s Day is upon us.

‘Every one and every body’ is one of our core values at S30, and that means no matter who you are — race, gender, body shape, ethnicity or religion — you’re always welcome through our doors.

This year, the team behind International Women’s Day is asking society to #EmbraceEquity — as equity isn’t just a nice-to-have, it’s a must-have.

And so, to celebrate the big day on March 8 we’ve asked a few of our very own S30 fam what gender equity means to them. Here are some of the responses we got from our bad-a$$ women.

> Mia Brankov, Franchise Co-Owner at S30 Mt Lawley

Equality to me is working towards a future where my daughter will never feel like her gender defines what she’s capable of achieving.

> Rachel Hollingsworth, Franchise Co-Owner at S30 Joondalup

Gender equality to me means considering all as human. Encouraging all perspectives to invite innovation and new ideas.

> Olivia Salvatori, Franchise Development Manager at S30 HQ

This quote from Purnima Mane, President and CEO of Pathfinder International sums it up for me: “A world full of empowered women isn’t one where men are marginalised. It’s a world where everyone thrives.”

> Gabby Firinshteiyn, Franchise Co-Owner at S30 Cockburn

For me, equity means providing an environment and equal opportunity for people to train in no matter what background, nationality, gender they identify as and creating a safe space.
